Each year our goal is to host the event with a high enough purse to attract more mushers from both Canada and all over the country. The cost of not only putting on this event but for the mushers traveling across country to get here is constantly on the rise in our economy. The purse that we offer has to be worth it for the mushers to consider coming from afar to our race each year. Without the mushers and dogs there is no World Championship Sled Dog Derby.
